Seasoned brand strategist and product innovator with over 20 years experience developing and launching consumer brands, products, and experiences.

I’m part brand strategist, part executive producer, part product innovator, with a focus on content and consumer experiences that break the script and make people smile.

I believe that the traditional model of massive 360 brand campaigns is dated, and that Gen-Z and young Millennials respond to actions and experiences.

I speak to marketers as fluently as engineers, designers, finance partners, and c-level leadership, allowing me to strategize and innovate with a global, executive-level mindset.

In 2023, after ten exciting years at Lyft, where I experienced the company’s transition from small startup, to hyper-growth, to publicly traded, I have departed Lyft and moved into a consulting role to see-through a few multi-year innovation projects that I led as Lyft’s Head of Brand Ventures.

While I figure out what’s next, I have started advising and consulting with companies and agencies, large and small, in the consumer space where my experience can provide a strategic asset and creative spark.

I value fun, irreverence, and play. PLAY IS IMPORTANT. The world is a serious place and we need more smiles.

LYFT HISTORY

I invented Lyft’s original fuzzy pink “Carstache”, which was actually a side-hustle startup that sold to Lyft when I joined the company. I have since executive produced the cross-functional development of every generation of Lyft’s in-car hardware including the illuminated Lyft-lights you see on vehicle dashboards today. As Lyft’s 2nd marketing hire, throughout my tenure, I led brand strategy, spearheaded 360 integrated marketing campaigns, led experiential marketing, drove product marketing launches, served as Head of Brand and Industrial Design for Lyft’s burgeoning Bikes and Scooters Division, and most recently led our Culture and Entertainment efforts alongside my work on Brand Ventures.

PRE-LYFT

Prior to Lyft I founded Carstache LLC (sold to Lyft), founded a mobile gaming company called RunWilder Entertainment Inc., and led Brand and Product Marketing as a founding of member Tencent’s US gaming operation. In my earlier carrier I worked in media buying for Sony Music, and joined an early online music streaming startup called Ruckus Network to lead brand marketing and consumer acquisition. LinkedIn
